12 cases settled amicably, including
Eastern Chamber receives 24 issue of complaint worth more than a million riyals last year
The East Chamber settled 12 objection case by 773,925 riyal friendly, out of 24 cases with 1,429,656 riyal received in Chamber legal department over the past year in 2013, while 7 issues worth 292,200 SR, was transferred to the Ministry of trade is 5 issues worth $ 363,531, the Department also received during the same year 23 cases with a value of 48,062,195 SR, settled 9 issues worth 1,814,090 SR, as well as 5 arbitration cases worth 91,948,694 SR, settled two cases to the value of SAR 49,757,026. There are three cases totaling 42,191,668, remained in while the two have been completed and value (49,757,026)
The Chamber also provided consulting by the Legal Department in the past year 2013 about 600 legal counsels, of which 389 consultations was through personal presence, and 211 provided management consulting by phone. The Department also contributed to the preparation, drafting and audit and review 66 contract and a memorandum of cooperation agreements and contracts on Chamber activities, in cooperation with third parties in order to service subscribers, of which 16 cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding, 13 had been refurbished, 35 new contract on another level, the Department organized a number of awareness-raising lectures on the definition of arbitration including a lecture by Dr. Reza Mr. Abdul Hameed, on (claim invalidity of arbitration), and Dr. Abdul Hamid also entitled (companies) joint venture while Abdul-Jalil al-Khalidi presented a lecture on Saudi arbitration law.
